(1) Lyapunov stability theory,
(2) linear control review,
(3) linearized control for nonlinear system,
(4) gain scheduling control for nonlinear system,
(5) linear observer and Kalman filter,
(6) robust LTR observer and nonlinear observer,
(7) sliding mode control,
(8) robust Lyapunov function control,
(9) chattering reduction in sliding mode control,
(10) disturbance observer, H_{infty} disturbance observer,
(11) back stepping control,
(12) feedback linearization control |

The objective of this course is to expose the students to both traditional and modern control design for nonlinear systems. |

Midterm exam 40%, Final exam 40%, Homework 20%.
